atrium house, dublin

This project involved the extension of an existing semi-detached two-storey house from c1900 to create a new suite of living & bedroom spaces which are organised around a top-lit atrium. The hall, dining and living room create a fluid open-plan living space divided only by a sliding wall. The private rural location of the house allowed for ample glazing to be provided to the south-facing front facade. Light is also filtered from bedroom gallery level through glass balustrades and staircase.
