We had a busy period in Spring preparing planning applications and tender packages for various projects that have gone or are going to site in Dublin and several parts of Co. Meath. Among the projects are a number of protected houses in Ranelagh which require special attention. We are also thrilled to have had our Garristown land commission cottage extension project featured on the cover of the summer edition of Selfbuild magazine.
We are certainly experiencing an upturn in the amount of projects going on site and some contractors are reporting shortages and rising costs of subcontractors.
We provided conservation consultancy to local design teams to a number of projects in Co. Louth including design and impact assessment of a substantial extension and works to Kincora House in Dundalk.
We are hoping to finalise our input to “Built to Last”, a study for Dublin City Council examining the energy characteristics and retrofit potential of pre-1945 Dublin housing stock which we hope will be published in early 2018.
